Komal Hassamal
Komal is the founder of Green Growth Solutions, a climate change advisory consultancy service.
She has over 16 years of experience working in climate change and development – in 28 countries on the African continent across multiple sectors such as renewable energy, transport, agriculture, and ocean. Komal has held leading positions for multilateral organizations – the African Development Bank, United Nations agencies and worked with multiple bilateral donors. She is also a Senior Advisor at TrustWorks Global, working on the nexus of climate change and peace building in a fragile context.
Yuv Sungkur
Yuv is a climate advocate from Mauritius and advisor at GGS.
Passionate about climate change issues and fighting its impact on Small Islands Developing States, Yuv endorses various hats. He is currently part of the Youth Engagement Group of the Climate Overshoot Commission, a TheirWorld Global Youth Ambassador, a Global Shaper, part of the Youth Delegation to the African Climate Mobility Initiative, and co-founded an NGO called Food Water Hygiene Mauritius.
He is committed to voicing the youth’s perspective on the international scene, and ensuring that people from Small Island Developing States have a say in every international decision-making process.

Paolo is an experienced professional serving as an environment, energy, and infrastructure advisor at GGS.
With a career spanning 20 years, he has specialized in programme design and implementation, environmental and social risk appraisal, and solution identification, specifically within the energy, extractives, and infrastructure sectors. Paolo is particularly passionate about the work related to GGS, focusing on climate risk assessment, and climate adaptation. He strongly believes in finding the right balance between human development and environmental conservation to ensure a sustainable future.
